Engine Software: Aliens in the Attic

Seen the movie? Unfortunately, I haven’t either. According to reviews, however, this isn’t necessary for playing the game, as the game itself is actually good! Yes ladies and gentleman, a movie license title which doesn’t completely suck.

The game is a platformer, which is no big surprise coming from our friends at Engine Software. There are three swappable characters which have unique abilities: One is average in movement speed, jumping and shooting, one is a little girl who can crawl into small places and double-jump, and the third is the tank who moves slowly but can move barrels and take lots of damage. The player usually has the freedom to choose whichever to play as, but there are some areas which restrict you to using specific characters to progress, as it should be.

Aliens in the Attic is a recent release, and according to reviews (we didn’t get a chance to play it unfortunately), the game plays well and is actually a lot of fun. Especially because it’s a movie license game, Engine Software took this as quite the compliment.
