Sony just confirmed during its press conference that it will be releasing two new versions of the PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 Pro and the PlayStation Slim.
The PlayStation Slim is three quarters of an inch shorter, half an inch taller, and half an inch narrower. They have also moved the power and eject buttons while making them actual buttons. The PlayStation Slim will be available September 15 and will retail at $299.
The PlayStation Pro, code named neo, will upgrade the PlayStation with better graphics, faster processor, and the ability to support 4k resolution. The console will also come with a 1TB hard drive. Several games that have already been released for the PlayStation 4 will be getting upgrade patches when the Pro is released. The same downloads and discs will be available for both the Pro and the Slim but it’s said that games will play slightly different on the Pro to support the higher resolution. The PlayStation Pro will be available November 10 and will retail at $399.
