Killzone 3 first impressions

It is time to escape the nuclear aftermath of pyrrhus city and attemt to leave the planet of helghan all together.
the same as in killzone 2 you will be plasing as: ISA Sergeant Tomas ‘Sev’ Sevchenko fighting against the helghast on their own accord but this time it’s not about winning the war, this time it’s just a matter of pure survival.
as a result the games feels way more varied, as you are running from one encounter to another, while the new enemy types keep you constantly aware and won’t give you even a second of rest to think the whole thing through again. One of the new enemy types is: the jetpack trooper a helghast soldier who flies through the sky while letting it rain machine gun bullets.
These aerial encountes add a new dimension to the normal battles on the ground, Especially when you get the jetpack yourself! it is pretty much a exaggerated jump: you fly into the air and can use two forward thrusts before you need to land down again. not only does this open up lots of battle opportunities like: gaining a vertical advantage over your enemies or dropping in behind on a enemy. but ofcourse lots of gameplay like having to go that little spot you just cant reach. A few days ago, NiSuTe Europe was invited to the Sony 3D casual Friday. We went there along with several other Dutch game press groups. We were welcomed by Jeroen Rovers, and then went in to the press room and got a welcoming drink. Everyone from the press was highly skeptical; we all knew what the history of 3D technology is; we have all seen our fair share of 3D glasses. We all took our seats and Bart Vader took the stage.

I’m writing this article with the idea that you own SF4 and cannot decide if SSF4 is for you, but before getting down to business I’ll introduce myself.
The name is Johnny AkA Ganymede on PSN and have been playing SF since SF2:world warrior. I love the thrill of battle and meeting my match ^_^ Played Turbo, Alpha 3 and SF3:3rd Strike and once SF4 was announced I couldn’t wait to insert it into my PS3. It was a major improvement over 3rd strike and even though I missed the hand drawn charm I got over it very quickly.

Video games have always set them apart from computer games although not many people know the difference. Ok so you want to know the difference. Well here we go. It is quite simple in fact. Computer games are played on a personal computer or notebook/laptop these games are single player games that can often be played online with other players there, for it often are secondary multiplayer games. This means that you are not playing with 2 or more friends on one personal computer or notebook/laptop but everyone is at their home playing the game alone but sharing it online with their online friends. While Video games are played alone, not online and with several friends on that same console. Also Video games used to be less in to the graphical games but more in to the game play experience. But this all changed a few years ago when game consoles started to go online. Making the gap between video games and computer games closer and closer. Read more

Hitting this fall in its three forms – alone, with the PlayStation Eye, or bundled with a PS3. The Playstation Move has been announced at the GDC. No pricing was given, but the bundle with the PlayStation Eye is said to run under $99.

But as we watched the whole thing go down we also started debating:
Do i smell trouble.. We see “controllers true TV’s”.
again We see “light Ballz of the controler comin or breaking off”.
We see “people hitting lamps and stuff”.
We see “a Wiimote like condom”.
We see “more than 4 people not able to play since the cam will pick up other controlres”.
We see “batteries running out in ultra fast speed”.
We see “only play able during night time” And I for see a whole lot more trouble for SONY..

Sony losing money on PS3s

Sony has been losing a lot of money on each PS3 sold since it’s release in 2006. They had originally tried to lose less profit from the Playstation 3 by getting rid of the fat looking design, and went with the sleek PS3 Slim.
The total cost for producing the PS3 Slim is roughly $336.27 a console. They are selling the PS3 for $229.99, losing about $37.00 per console.
While the original PS3 was $494.00 to make and selling for $399.99.
Sony needs to come up with a way to cut production prices for the PS3, or end up like Sega.
